Duties and Responsibilities:
The main focus is to improve the reliability of our electrical and instrument equipment by analyzing performance, reliability and maintenance data to eliminate unplanned outages and reduce the equipment life cycle costs. The incumbent will also be asked to develop a plan and schedule for major outages and also support the area maintenance personnel with technical expertise and training to enable them to maintain, repair and improve the reliability of their electrical and instrument equipment. The incumbent is to provide Maintenance Engineering Support to assigned Business Areas which would include troubleshooting problems and developing and executing plans to address issues that may arise with electrical and instrument equipment. His/her role within this team includes actively identifying opportunities for improvement in order to achieve specific maintenance goals and objectives. The individual will also participate in a complex-wide effort to ensure consistency of approaches, methods and measures for maintenance activities.
Experience and Education:
A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required. The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of industrial experience and direct experience working with voltages and equipment from 24VDC up to and including 13.8KV. The candidate should have knowledge of switchgear, rectification, relaying, DCS systems, PLC's and various process instrumentation. The candidate should be able to read elementary diagrams, one line drawing's, loop sheets, and P&ID's. The candidate must be able to handle him/herself safely in an industrial environment.
