Description
Pharma-Cruiting Life Sciences Executive Search is seeking a dynamic and energetic Director of Operations for our generic pharmaceutical client in New York.
The incumbent will be responsible for leading operational initiatives in the areas of policy, processes and practices designed to enhance the efficiency and standardize practices and to insure accuracy of information and reporting.
The Director of Operations will be a key member of the team and will work closely with the VP of Finance and Director of Quality Assurance and Control, plus all Business Unit management teams and support organizations to drive customer satisfaction, optimize revenue growth and increase cash flow.
This is a hands on position that will require a candidate willing to roll up their sleeves.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
Ø Provide analysis and recommendations for standard business system applications to be used by the organization to improve and streamline company forecasting.
Ø Serve as the Project Lead for systems standardization, integration, training and implementation.
Ø Develop Vendor “score cards” to help improve overall vendor performance and ability to meet company demands for price, on time delivery and quality.
Ø Negotiate Contracts with new and current vendors for all areas of the Unipharm business.
Ø Provide analysis of overall historical sales trends for key product groups to assist in long range organizational planning.
Ø Participate as a team member in all assigned corporate initiatives.
Ø Continually look to improve operations processes, people, and sales coverage to support growth.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Ø Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in operations with a focus on procurement at a Senior level is required.
Experience Qualifications:
Ø Strong role model with ability to develop and motivate people at all levels.
Ø Substantiated capability to effectively negotiate contracts.
Ø Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desired.
Ø Exceptional analytical capability and problem solving skills.
Ø Ability to work in a team atmosphere and influence others to achieve results.
Ø Self motivated with bias for action
Ø Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communications abilities
Ø Evidence of professional presentation skills.
Ø Willingness to travel to accomplish assigned goals.
Ø Good proficiency in PC software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ø Understanding of Russian is a plus.
Ø Available to travel 20%.
