Responsibilities:

-Design and maintain databases and database solutions that operate within prescribed resource limits and meet standards. 

-Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development projects. 

-Monitor and tune database and database application performance.

Qualifications:

-5+ years experience developing and maintaining complex applications that make extensive use of a supported database technology or 2+ years experience as a Database Administrator.

-Good working knowledge with both DB2 z/OS and/or DB2 LUW.

-Proficient with DCL, DDL, DBMS access methods, and underlying operating system access methods.

-Proven expertise in monitoring and performance tuning of both application SQL and database/instance configuration.

-Experience with BMC tools for DB2 (Change/Catalog Manager, MainView, Log Master) or equivalent.

-Expertise with DB2 utilities and recovery mechanisms.

-Experienced in Logical Data Modeling.

-Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Business or equivalent work experience.
